A traditional sailing boat glides towards the harbour at dusk, passing a towering stone lantern. The scene captures the tranquil waters of Lake Biwa at Yabase, a historic port on the eastern shore famously celebrated in classical Japanese art and poetry. This 20th century rendition by Koitsu is an early pre-war printing, as indicated by the Watanabe publisher's "C seal" on the right margin.

We offer an in-house framing service, and can frame any piece in a wooden black frame, and an off-white mount. All our materials are acid-free to best protect the prints, with an option for anti reflective UV glass for higher protection and a clearer view. Our team will recommend the appropriate framing option upon confirmation of the piece's availability. Bespoke framing option may be available upon request.
